I bought some cheap neck cushions at Target a little while ago for the kids to have in the car for long journeys. They often fall asleep in the car after a busy day or a late night out so these were perfect. The cover wasn't that cool so I decided to cover them in fleece (it's my new favorite fabric). I probably should have taken a little more time over these and made a pattern so they fit better but the kids love them and that's what counts.
A good friend of mine had gotten a secondhand foot stool and needed a new cover for it. I offered to recover it for her so we went out fabric shopping and found a really nice fabric that matched really well with her living room decor.
Once I had taken some measurements and cut out all my pieces, the cover came together fairly quickly. I even had enough of the fabric left to make two matching bolster cushions and a regular cushion cover.
Oh my goodness, there goes another month. I'm so very sorry, seems like my motivation comes in waves and the one to stay on top of my blog is failing me. Must try harder!!!
So here I am with a little project from last month. I decided to take a cluttered place where everyone (including me) just dumps stuff to get it out of the way and make it pretty and practical instead.
I bought this fabric quite some time ago, the foam too. Good intentions and all that. Any way I finally sat down and worked out a pattern and got busy. Here is the fruits of my labor (the circle cushions are store bought).
