Today is Memorial Day and I wanted to pay my respects to all the veterans and their families. Let us not forget their sacrifice.
I made a couple more of these carrier bag holders. This time I used some red, white and blue fabric with a patriotic theme. Seemed fitting to show them to you today.
These are so easy to make. I got the instruction sheet free from Hobby Lobby and all I needed was a pair of flip flops, a bright colored bandanna, rotary cutter or scissors, and a pair of pinking shears.
My daughter loves the finished flip flops and wears them all the time.
I found this remnant at a store a little while ago. I just love the feel of fleece, don't you? it was the perfect size to make my son a scarf, not to mention the fact it has his 2 favorite colors. I find that my son gets a little left out with all the sewing stuff as it is mostly girl stuff. So I made this just for him for his birthday.
I made this little bag for my son. When we go out to restaurants he usually has pockets full of toys and things to occupy himself while we are waiting for our food then comes the worry that one day he is going to leave something behind.
He went with me to the craft store so he could pick out the fabric himself. It looks really cool finished. Now I just need to get him to actually use it.
